3-6-24
Photos of Cappuccino’s boys are on her litter page!  We have lots of confirmed pregnant cats with a variety of kittens coming in the next month or so.
1-3-24
Happy New Year!  We have lots of plans for 2024 and have openings on most of our waitlists currently.  We are coming into the midst of the breeding season soon and have breeding plans for Boaz with Edelweiss, Ivy and Ruth.  Remington with Celine, Cappuccino, and Periwinkle.  Ridgely with Misty, Naomi, Holly and Clementine.
12-5-23
Its been pretty quiet around here since Tom lost his voice.  But, don’t worry, it’s coming back and he will be able to have lots of phone conversations in the next day or two.  We both came down with the flu or COVID right after we returned from Minnesota for his mother’s funeral.  She lived a good, long, healthy 97 years and was surrounded by family who loved her.  We are now just able to get back fully into business and have some sort of a routine.
Tom will be placing Gypsy’s and Juniper’s litters soon, so if you are near the top of the black smoke or regular list, expect a call soon.
11-3-23

We have 5 new babies with Juniper and three with Gypsy.  Photos coming soon.  Sadly, Edelweiss miscarried her kittens a week before her due date.
9-28-23
We now have no available adults, but we are making lots of people happy with our kittens! All of Spumoni’s and some of Clementine, Faith and Ruth’s kittens have been awarded to some super thrilled people!  Some had waited a long time for the perfect kitten!  Tom will be making more calls in the next few days for the remainder of the kittens we have in our house right now.
For those of you still waiting, we have 3 confirmed pregnancies and are anxiously awaiting their babies near the end of October or even in the beginning of November.  Edelweiss, Juniper and Gypsy are all starting to show definite pregnant bodies and we are excited to see what they give us!
9-20-23
We have a new entry on the available adult page.  If you have expressed an interest in an adult cat in the past, please check him out on the available adult page.  We are taking photos of Spumoni and Clementine’s kittens today and Tom will begin placing them in the near future.  Also, Juniper is definitely pregnant.
9-15-23
Sorry we haven’t had as many new photo updates as normal, but Tom had a fall off of a ladder which collapsed and busted up his ankle, so it’s been hard to get anything extra done.  However, We have new photos of Faith’s kittens up as of today and hope to get Ruth’s up this weekend.  Then, we’ll focus on new photos of Clementine and Spumoni’s kittens.  We also think Juniper is appearing pregnant.
9-6-23
We have 14 kittens right now from Spumoni, Clementine, Faith and Ruth.  We will be working on updating their photos this week.
We have no new confirmed pregnancies, but do have Periwinkle, Misty, Gypsy, Juniper, Ivy and Edelweiss with their prospective males.
All of our waitlists are open to females only at the current time.  We hope to open up to both genders again in December.
We got a kitten from our daughter’s cat, Astrid, who is a daughter of Marshall and Misty.  She is a little brown classic girl who will be growing up to be a future mommy.
6-24-23
There are new photos of Celine and Naomi’s kittens on their pages. They are such cute little babies and love people!
Cappuccino has given us 4 new babies on June 19th.  She has 2 silvers and 2 browns.  There is a boy and a girl of each color.  Pictures will be coming soon.
Ruth and Spumoni have been bred and we are waiting for Faith, Clementine and Periwinkle to go into heat.
The black smoke and shaded lists have been closed for males only.  We still have room for people wanting female kittens.
6-8-23
We have updated the waitlists on each waitlist page.  We are keeping the waitlists open till the end of June for all prospective kitty owners.
Over the past week, we have been blessed with 4 new babies.  Celine has given us 3 cream or red kittens, all males.  Two are polydactyl.  Naomi gave us a surprise singleton, a little brown classic.  We did not think she had become pregnant because she never showed any signs of pregnancy till her kitten was born.  Both girls are first time mothers and each is doing amazingly well caring for their little ones.  Pictures will come soon.  All other lists are open till the end of June.
6-3-23
Big thanks to everyone who has called to be added to our Maine Coon kitten waitlists.  Tom has been calling all day, trying to reach everyone who has called and left a message.  If you haven’t heard back from him by the end of the day, please give him a call again and he will take care of you. We will get all the new names updated on the list within a week.  Thank you for your patience!
5-19-23
Tom has been calling people on our waitlist to place kittens.  He is about 2/3 done and our lists are getting shorter!  Ivy’s litter begins going home this weekend!  They are BIG kittens!  Gypsy’s 10 kittens are all in the process of weaning and are eating food like little champs!  I am sure they are gaining a pound a week.  It is fun hearing all the chirps and bunny kicks coming from this bunch in our kitchen.  We have a litter coming from Celine and Boaz in about a month.  Celine is a polydactyl torbie who is the daughter of Poppy and Marshall.  I’ll be posting photos later.
5-10-23
I’ve been working on new photos of our kittens.  There are some cute ones of Gypsy and Ivy’s litters.  I am working on Misty’s today and Edelweiss’s will be next.  Here are some random kitten shots!  Enjoy

4-28-23
New photos of Edelweiss’s kittens are on her page.  They are super easy going and will have great personalities, just like their mom!   Ivy’s kittens are starting to eat canned kitty food and are very cuddly.  Gypsy’s kittens are very people oriented, probably because they know people = food and they LOVE their daily homemade milk supplements.

4-19-23
We have been very busy with kittens lately!  We have a litter of 10 with Gypsy, a litter of 6 with Ivy, a litter of 4 with Juniper, a litter of 2 with Poppy, a litter of 4 with Misty and are expecting kittens with Edelweiss.
****Waitlist Announcement***

2-27-23
Just a quick kitten update!  We have 3 kittens with Faith and Remington: 2 boys and 1 girl.  We have 2 kittens with Periwinkle and Ridgely.  They are both black smokes and one is a polydactyl.  We think they are both boys, but aren’t 100% sure on the polydactyl.
Three cats are confirmed pregnant and due anywhere from the end of March through the middle of April, with more cats having been bred, but not confirmed pregnant yet.  Juniper x Remington, Gypsy x Ridgely and Ivy x Boaz are all confirmed pregnancies.
2-9-23
All waitlists are closed to newcomers.  It will likely open up again this summer.  If, however, you already have a Gold Rush cat, you are welcome to join any waitlist you’d like.  Just give us a call, text or email.
1-24-23
Faith is due near the beginning of February.  We have also bred Periwinkle, Ruth, and Gypsy and should be confirming pregnancies soon.  More girls will be going into heat soon, so we hope to have lots of kittens in the next few months.
We have decided to keep Ivy’s girl, Holly, as a potential breeding cat in the future.

It is looking like Cappuccino and Ivy are pregnant and due in December.  Still not sure about Mystique.
10-14-22
Update*** both girls have gone to wonderful homes.
All of our current kittens have been placed except for our 2 high smoke girls, Leilani and Nadia.  If you are currently on any of our lists and are interested in either girl, give us a call.  Prices are listed on Edelweiss’s litter page.

9-25-22
We have found a new home for Jenny!  Thank you for all your inquiries and help in finding her a home.
9-19-22
I have new photos of Gypsy and Poppy’s kittens on their pages.  I’ll try to do Edelweiss’s babies tomorrow.
9-18-22
We have an urgent need for a home for Jenny, our retired brown classic.  She is 5 1/2 years old and was adopted by a wonderful couple.  However, Jenny is very dominant and is not getting along with their other cat at all.  She needs a home with NO other pets.  See the available adults page.

8-23-22
Edelweiss is still holding onto her kittens, but they should be here by the end of the week.  Gypsy and Cappuccino are also due soon with some polydactyl kittens, hopefully.  Poppy’s two little red boys are moving around and their pictures are on their litter page now.
7-12-22
There have been  scammers  using our website, Facebook and Instagram to sell kittens that do not belong to them.  I have kicked them off, but know that if someone contacts you about a kitten, that call will only come from the number listed on our website.  Emails are the same.  If something sounds fishy, it probably is.  Check in with us to get the real story.
6-13-22
Thank you to everyone who called on Saturday to get on our waitlist.  We are going to leave our waitlist open on the regular Maine Coon list and the shaded list.  The list for black smokes is closed.
6-7-22
Some of our kittens have begun going to their new homes.  We hope to have new photos of Misty’s, Violet’s, Clementine’s and Juniper’s kittens up by the end of the week.  Thank you for your patience.
*****Waitlist update******   For our waitlists, we are taking about 15 names for the regular list, 10 names for black smokes, 8 names for shaded kittens and 2 new female polydactyl names.  Please call on Saturday, June 11 at 10:00 am and leave a message.  Tom will call you back in the order that your call is placed.   The current prices are listed on the waitlist pages.
5-23-22
We have some tragic news to share with all of our Marshall lovers.  He seemed to be feeling tired and lethargic in the evening of Monday, May 16th.  By morning, he was back to his old self, eating, running around and behaving completely normal.  On Wednesday, he wouldn’t eat and seemed tired again, so we took him to the vet that afternoon.  The vet diagnosed him with a kidney infection that had led to kidney failure.  Thinking that if they could treat the infection and get his kidneys back to working order, we left him overnight at the vet.  On Thursday morning, he was resting comfortably at the vets and they continued to treat him.  However, Thursday, May 19th at 6:15, Marshall passed away in his sleep.  It has taken us completely by shock and we are still grappling with his loss.  Cats are amazing animals and are able to hide sicknesses till it is almost too late to treat.  Marshall never showed any signs of being sick till the last few days.  He was an amazing, kind, loving, gentle giant among cats and we will miss him terribly.

In other news, we are working through all of the names of people who were interested in our adult cats.  Tom is in the process of placing them now.   We are also taking new photos of kittens and hope to have them posted very soon.
5-10-22
There are 3 cats who will be needing new homes in the near future.  Violet, Jenny and Shadow.  You can see photos, information and pricing on each cat under the heading “Available Adults and Older Kittens”.  Priority will be given to current Gold Rush Maine Coon owners.  If you are interested, email us only.  Please don’t call or text.  We expect a lot of interest in these cats and would like to be able to keep all inquiries together and in order on one site.  We will be taking inquiries until midnight on Tuesday, May 17.
5-6-22
We have a total of 25 kittens on the ground and have 2 more pregnant girls to go.  Clementine had 6 red boys and Faith had three kittens on the same day, Wednesday, May 4.  Everyone is eating well and growing beautifully!  Juniper is expecting a litter of about 4 and Opal is expecting 1 or 2.  Mystique apparently did not get pregnant, so we will try again on her next heat cycle.
****Waitlist Announcement***
Our waiting lists will be opening up at 10 am on Saturday, June 11th by phone only.  Please leave a message and Tom will call you back in the order in which the calls are received by the end of the day.  He will add as many of you as he can on the list.  Please don’t call before 10, because your call will be placed at the end of the list of names of people who called at or after 10.
4-22-22
We have lots of little kittens in cupboards and kitty tents.  There are photos of most of them on their pages.  I hope to update every week or 2.  Puppy has her 2 little fat babies and they are just starting to move around.  One even was out of the cupboard this morning.  Cappuccino has 5 babies, Gypsy has 3 babies and Misty has 5 babies.  Violet is due any day with a small litter.  Faith and Juniper are pregnant.  We can’t quite tell about Mystique yet, but Clementine is so large, it is scary to think of how many babies she might be hiding inside!
We also picked up a beautiful new girl this week who is Edelweiss’s half sister.  She is so much like Edelweiss in temperament and personality, it is hard not to mistake one for the other.  The new girl had a dark patch on top of her head which makes it a little easier.

4-4-22
Poppy finally had her kittens early this morning.  She has a girl and a boy.  Cappuccino and Gypsy should give birth by the end of this week.  Misty, Faith, and Clementine are definitely pregnant.  The jury is still out on Violet, but Juniper and Mystique have recently been bred.
2-27-22
It appears as though Poppy and Marshall will have kittens near the end of March.  Jenny does not appear to be pregnant, so we will probably be spaying her and finding her a loving new home.  In the beginning of April, we hope to have kittens with Cappuccino and Ridgely & Gypsy and Remington.  Then, later in the month, we hope to have kittens with Misty and Marshall, Violet and Marshall, & Faith and Ridgely.  Then, in the beginning of May, we have Clementine and Marshall.  Juniper will be bred to Remington  when she goes into heat and later in March, Mystique will be bred to Remington or Ridgely.  In March, we will be updating our website with photos of several of our breeding cats as well as our up and coming ladies
2-3-22
We are in the midst of new breedings at long last!  So far, we have bred Cappuccino and Misty to Ridgely, Gypsy and Jenny to Remington and Poppy to Marshall.  We should know in about a month which of these trysts resulted in pregnancies!  We will update everyone when we know more!
This Saturday, we are headed up to Grants Pass, Oregon to pick up our 2 new babies from our dear friends, Patty and John Cruikshank with Nacoonzi cattery in Estacada, OR.  We are so looking forward to adding some new bloodlines to our crew.  Both girls are polydactyl and have white feet.  One is a blue smoke tortie and the other is a black tortie with white.
1-2-22
Happy New Year to all!  We are looking forward to many beautiful kittens this year!  Cats should be going into heat in the next month or so and we will begin breeding.  Look for the following pairing soon:  Jenny and Remington, Opal and Ridgely, Misty and Marshall, Gypsy and Remington, Poppy and Marshall and Cappuccino and Ridgely.
12-27-21
We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year right around the corner.  We are looking forward to many more kittens in 2022 and happy, healthy mothers and fathers.
There are new photos of Aurora and Violet’s boys on their pages.
12-1-21
On Saturday at 10 am, we will be taking names by telephone calls only for the following:
5 males and 9 females on the general Maine Coon page
2 male and 2 female black smokes
4 polydactyl females
Due to the low numbers of males born last year, we have an overabundance of people on the lists still waiting for their kittens and we hate to have people waiting too long.
11-4-21
****Waitlist Announcement***
Our waiting lists will be opening up at 10 am on Saturday, December 4th by phone only.  Please leave a message.  and Tom will call you back in the order in which they are received by the end of the day.  He will add as many of you as he can on the list.  Please don’t call before 10, because your call will be placed at the end of the list of names of people who called at or after 10.  More information will follow as to the openings we will have.
10-24-21
Clementine’s kittens have new photos!
Also, Sofya and Calypso are two of our adults who are looking for a permanent, loving home in which to rule their domain.  Please contact us for more information.
10-21-21
New photos of Cappuccino and Marshalls brown kittens just posted!
10/20/21
Geneva, a black smoke girl with white feet, is available to anyone on our waiting list already.  If you are interested in her, please let Tom know before midnight on the 24th.  She will be offered to whomever is earliest on the waitlist.  Black smokes are $400 more than our other Maine Coon kittens.   Tom would prefer a text, but a call or email is fine as well.
Sofya went in to the vet on Monday for a C-section since she was overdue.  She ended up being pregnant with a stillborn kitten.  Because of the issues she seems to have with bearing kittens, we have come to the very tough decision to spay her.  We had such high hopes that she would give us white kittens, but that is not going to be the case.
Juniper had her kittens and they were very large.  She has 2 silvers and one brown.   Tom is in the process of making calls to place our older kittens and there should be changes noted on the waitlist soon.
10/8/21
Violet began having kittens on Friday, October 1 and was having problems, so we took her in to the vet where it was determined that she needed a C-section.  She ended up with 2 beautiful kittens, both boys.  As it turns out, she had a dead kitten and a pretty serious infection in her uterus.  She was put on antibiotics and showed no interest in nursing, so her kittens were put with Faith’s kittens till Aurora gave birth the following Tuesday.  Aurora had a smaller litter of 3, but one of them, a little boy is really struggling.  She has 2 very healthy, big kittens who are gaining a ton each day.
Jenny turned out not to be pregnant.  We watched her day and night waiting for her kittens, but after a week and a half, decided she had just had a phantom pregnancy.   We will breed her again on her next heat cycle.
Sofya and Juniper are on delivery watch and have their birthing areas all ready for them.  Sofya looks to have a smaller litter, but we did see kitten movement in her abdomen as she was lying down, so there are kittens in there!  It’s been a year since she gave us her singleton, sweet Clarice!  Juniper looks a little bigger, so we are hoping for at least 4 kittens.
I am working on photos and have posted Faith’s litter.  Tomorrow, I will be working on the newborns and Clementine’s litter.
9/23/21
There are new photos of Misty and Gypsy’s kittens on their litter pages.
Tomorrow, I will be taking photos of Poppy’s kittens and our 2 brand new litters.  Clementine has 4 new red boys and a tortie girl and Faith has 3 black smokes with white feet and 1 black boy.
Aurora, Juniper, and Violet are definitely pregnant and due in another month.  Jenny looks like she is having a little litter near the end of the month.  Sofya, bred on the same day as Juniper, is pinking up, which means she is probably pregnant.  We shall see in a month!
8/31/21
Misty and Gypsy’s kittens are getting more and more active and enjoying life in the master bathroom.  In about a week, they will be moving to the kitchen.  Tom will be starting to contact people for selections around the middle of September.
Poppy and Cappuccino each had 4 kittens apiece on the 26th.  Moms and babies are doing very well after a little hiccup with Cappuccino’s milk taking awhile to come in.  Poppy is  nursing her 4 kittens plus one of Cappuccino’s.  There are photos of the new babies on their litter pages.
We have bred Aurora to Remington, Sofya to Marshall and Juniper to Remington in August, but none of them are confirmed pregnant.  Clementine and Marshall, Faith and Remington, and Jenny and Caspian are all confirmed pregnant.  We are waiting for Violet and Opal to go into heat.
7/27/21
We are on delivery watch for 2 of our girls and have them in our bathroom till they have their kittens.  It could be anywhere from hours away to a week away, or even longer.  Gypsy is due with kittens from Ridgely, which is a complete surprise since he was “too young to produce kittens” when he was with her.  He was just a 6 month old kitten!  Well, he tricked us and now Gypsy is getting big!  Misty is also pregnant after many failed attempts at pregnancy  Yeah!   Many other cats have been bred and are likely pregnant, but none are official yet.  You can see their pages under Upcoming Litters.
6/25/21
Our waiting lists are all updated now and we want to welcome the new members to our Gold Rush Maine Coon family.  We are sure that the wait will be well worth it when you get your new baby in the next months.  Keep watching the website, Facebook and Instagram for photos and videos of our kittens and cats, both here and in their new homes.
6/21/21
Thank you to all who called yesterday to get on the wait list.  There are still a few spots left and we are planning to leave the list open till Wednesday.
We wanted to update you on possible upcoming litters.  We are hoping Sofya is pregnant, but she is still not showing a lot.  Opal, sadly, had a miscarriage, so we have her on antibiotics and will try again in a few months.  Poppy, Clementine, Aurora, Violet, Faith and Gypsy will be bred in the next month or so, depending upon when they go into heat.
Also, Ridgely is  close to 8 months old and we thought you’d enjoy a photo of him.

6/19/21
New photos of Calypso’s kittens are now up on her page!  They are adorable babies!
Today is the day our waiting list opens up!  We wanted to give you an idea about the availability of our spots on the waiting lists.  We will be taking about 5 female and 3 males for polydactyls,  3 black smoke females,  and 10 new names on the regular Maine Coon list.  We have many cats coming up in the next few months for breeding and deliveries, so the majority of the new names will have an average wait time of 6-8 months, but it might take longer depending on the size of upcoming litters and the kittens’ desired characteristics.  Just a reminder, please don’t call before 10 am or you will be called last.  Please leave a message at 10 and Tom will get back to you as soon as possible today.
5/31/21
****Our waiting lists will be opening up at 10 am on Saturday, June 19th.  Please call at or after 10 and leave a message.  Tom will call you back by the end of the day and get as many of you as he can on the list.  Because we had smaller litters this spring than normal, our current waiting list did not go down as quickly as we had hoped, so we will be taking a total of 20 new names, mostly on the polydactyl and normal foot list.  ****
5/19/21
Our polydactyl list is now full and closed again unless you are already a Gold Rush cat owner.  Past and current owners can get on any waiting list without having to wait till we open it to the public.
5/17/21
Calypso gave us a new litter on Friday and there are lots of little polydactyls in the bunch!  Pictures will follow shortly.  There are brown girls, red boys and  a blue girl.  If you are currently on the regular list and would like to move over to the polydactyl list, please email or text Tom and let him know.  Polydactyls are $200 more than regular pawed kittens.  Right now, with Calypso’s litter, we have more polydactyl kittens than we have names on the waiting list.  Tom is planning to open the next waiting list for kittens at 10 am on Saturday,  June 19.  More details will follow.
Neither Gypsy nor Misty are currently pregnant.  We are going to give Misty one last chance before spaying and rehoming her.  We can’t tell if Sofya and Opal are pregnant yet,  but both have recently been bred.
4/29/21
Photo day!  I hope to have everyone done by the end of today!
Violet and Aurora’s kittens will be going home beginning this weekend and Faith and Cappuccino’s kittens will move from our bathroom to the kitchen where they can play and get used to all the sounds and activity of the home.  Jenny and Juniper’s kittens will stay in Tom’s office and Calypso will move into the bathroom in anticipation of her kittens in the middle of May.
Sofya is back in heat now and honeymooning with Marshall.  We don’t know if Gypsy or Misty are pregnant or not yet, but time will tell!
4/19/21
Juniper and Jenny have both had their kittens and between the two of them, there are 5 new kittens.  Some are brown and some blue.  Photos and descriptions will follow.  It is taking us a little longer than usual because our daughter is getting married this coming Saturday and we are very busy.
All of Poppy and Clementine’s kittens have gone to their new homes and yet, we still have a kitchen full of busy kittens running around at our feet!  We can say for certain that Calypso and Sofya are definitely pregnant and Gypsy has been bred with our big, new black smoke boy, Remington.  Opal is getting close to being able to breed as well.
For those of you waiting for the waiting lists to open up, I am anticipating opening it near the end of June or early July.
4/8/21
Tom is in the process of placing kittens from Clementine, Poppy, Violet, Aurora and Faith.   He will be reaching out to you, especially if you are on the top part of the waiting list.
Cappuccino had her kitten and gave us one blue classic girl.  Jenny and Juniper are both very large and we are expecting big litters from each of them, barring any catastrophes.  Misty is back in heat again, so the last breeding did not take.  We are beginning to worry that she might never become pregnant.  Calypso is probably pregnant, though, and we hope to breed Gypsy and Sofya soon as well.
3/12/21
On the morning of March 5, Violet met me at the door meowing loudly.  Aurora came running and meowed back and tried to coax her into the bathroom, where they both proceeded to go into the cupboard we had cleared.  Cuddling together, Violet started having her kittens while Aurora groomed her and cleaned her kittens.  After Violet had delivered all of her polydactyl kittens, Aurora started having her kittens and Violet helped her, a little.  She was pretty tired after delivering her babies.  Later that day, we separated the girls and their kittens because the area wasn’t big enough for all the mothers and their 10 kittens.  We did lose one of Violet’s black girls, but there is no apparent reason that we could tell.  At any rate, both mothers are taking great care of their babies.  Poppy’s kittens are growing and starting to really play with each other.  I will be putting a video on Facebook and Instagram in the next couple of days.
Faith should be delivering her kittens in the next week.  Cappuccino and Juniper are definitely pregnant.  Jenny, Cappuccino, Misty and Calypso have also been bred, but we don’t know if they are pregnant yet.
3/1/21
I just put new photos of Clementine’s 3 kittens and Poppy’s 4 kittens.  Everyone is growing well and gorgeous!  We are waiting on Aurora and Violet to have their kittens in the next week or so and Faith about a week after.  By the looks of it, Aurora and Violet will be having a small litter and Faith will have a little bigger litter.  You never know, though!  Juniper did not get pregnant, so she has been re-bred.  We have also bred Cappuccino to Caspian and Jenny to Marshall.  If Juniper and Jenny become pregnant, they will be due near the middle or latter half of April.  Cappuccino is due at the end of March.  All of our kittens are reserved for people on our waiting list.
We received Ridgely a little over a week ago and he is fully adjusted and acclimated.  He is very playful and not afraid of anything.

2/3/21
The wait is on for kittens.  Clementine (Caspian) is due next week and Poppy (Marshall), a week later.  We have also confirmed that Faith (Marshall), Violet (Caspian) and Aurora (Marshall) are pregnant, but aren’t sure about Juniper (Marshall), although Tom is leaning towards a yes vote!  We have also bred Cappuccino (Caspian), but it is too early to tell yet.
Our little Ridgely from Switzerland is set to arrive on February 13 and we are so excited to finally have our silver mackerel polydactyl male.  Right now, he is living in the lap of luxury, being loved by Mariam and her daughter, who has become best friends with him.

1/9/21
So far this year, we have had some great, exciting news and one shocking, horrifying occurrence.  The good news is that both Clementine and Poppy are confirmed pregnant and are both due by the middle of February.  Also, Faith, Violet, Juniper and Aurora have been bred, but no pregnancies confirmed yet.  It is looking to be a busy spring!
The bad news illustrates why complete health testing AND electrocardiograms of all breeding cats is a necessity before breeding.  Tom went out to feed and care for the cats one morning and Sequoia did not come running for her treat in the cat cottage.  This was highly unusual because she loved her canned food.  He went over to the cat tree where she was curled up all cozy and noticed she wasn’t breathing.  In fact, she was dead.  She had been fine the night before and dead by morning.  This is highly suggestive of a bad heart.  Even though her parents did not carry the gene for HCM, she must have had a bad heart which would have been caught when we did her heart echo at 1 year of age before we ever bred her.  The genetic testing only catches 2 out of several genetic mutations that can lead to HCM.  Echocardiograms are the only way to actually see what the heart health is like.
12/11/20
We have some exciting news for all you people on our list.  We have bred Clementine with Caspian and Poppy to Marshall!  It’ll be about a month before we know if the two red girls are pregnant, but I know many people are anxiously waiting.
Juniper and Violet each had separate injuries which led to abscesses and have spent most of the week at the vet’s office.  We love our vet in Folsom and she is enjoying our two girls.  Maybe that’s why she has kept them so long!  Both girls are recovering well and will be on antibiotics for a week or so.  We won’t be breeding them for about a month, giving them time to heal.
Sofya’s kitten turns 5 weeks old on Sunday and Tom will be contacting people in a week or two to place her in the perfect home.  We have named her Clarice.
11/24/20
I just updated photos of our new cats and kittens, except one.   You will find the photos in 2 categories.  If the cat is under a year old, you will find their photos under New Additions.  If the cat is over 1, you will find them under Females.  I also put some new photos of Violet.  Also, the waiting lists are updated, but there might be some small changes as a few people’s paperwork straggle in.
11/20/20
Again, thank you to all of my new prospective kitten people who just got on my recently opened waiting list.  The lists will be updated by the end of next week.  The waiting lists for all my new kittens is now closed and won’t likely open up again until about Memorial Day.  We are waiting for 5 girls to go into heat, which will be any day now.  Misty might be pregnant, but we’re not 100% sure yet.  We are watching Cappuccino, Poppy, Violet, Faith, and Juniper.
I am hoping to get new photos of our upcoming cats completed this weekend.  We know that some of you have been eagerly awaiting photos of our new beauties.
We have finally gotten photos from Switzerland of our new baby silver polydactyl male to replace the one who died at 14 weeks from the leukemia shot.  This is why we never recommend the leukemia shot for any of our kittens.  There are 2 little boys to choose from, but since they are only 3 weeks old, we don’t have to make a decision yet.  One is a mackerel and the other is a classic.  I will post photos and take votes on Facebook later.  We will also need a good name.

     Silver mackerel                                           Silver classic
11/19/20
I just wanted to let everyone know that I put about 30 photos of all the kittens on Facebook and Instagram.  I might try and put some on the website, but I just took some shots with my phone when I was playing with the babies yesterday.  I’m sure many of you can identify your kitten!
11/17/20
We want to thank everyone who called to get on our waiting list.  We will be updating the waiting lists tomorrow and will keep the list open for a short while before closing it again.  It will likely be next May before it opens up again, but that depends upon how many kittens we have in the spring.  Our kittens from Calypso, Jenny, Aurora and Shadow are going home in the next week or so and Sofya’s one week old kitten is growing very large since she has no competition for mom’s milk.
11/13/20
***Remember, our waiting list opens up tomorrow at 10 a.m.  Please call only and leave a message.  Tom will call you back and get you all the information you need to get on the list for one of our kittens.***
11/12/20
If you are already on the waiting list, I do have two solid blue girls available, Daphne and Lotus.  Please let me know if you would like her before they become available to new people on Saturday.
11/11/20
If you are already on our waiting list, you have the opportunity to move over to the black smoke list if you desire.  There is an extra charge for black smoke, but we do have space to add you before our list opens to the public on Saturday morning.  Please give Tom a call at 530-391-0189.
Sofya gave birth to her litter on Sunday.  She gave us one beautiful blue tortie girl.  So, no whites this time, but hopefully she will bless us with some white kittens next time.  We are also waiting on several girls to go into heat:  Misty, Faith, Poppy, Violet, Cappuccino and Juniper.
11/3/20
There are new photos of Calypso’s kittens online and I am working on Jenny’s now.  Tom should be contacting some of you people on the waiting  list regarding available kittens.
10/28/20
We just returned from a 2 week vacation out east and our wonderful kids held down the fort while we were gone and took amazing care of our cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, grandma and house.  This is the first time we have been away from home alone in a LONG time and we had a great time.  I (Lenora) am taking photos of each of the kittens today and hope to have them on the website today or tomorrow, so please be patient.  It will be coming.  I put a preview on Calypso and Jenny’s kitten pages.
Sofya is coming out of the cat cottage today into our home for the upcoming birth of her babies.  They might have some white kittens, so I have made a new page for a white kitten waiting list.  We’ll probably get 4 white kittens a year!
Don’t forget, if you already own a Gold Rush kitten, you don’t have to wait till our waiting lists open up.  You can get on a list whenever you’d like.  For all new, prospective kitten owners, our waiting list does open up on November 14 at 10:00 a.m.  So, please call and leave a message at that time and Tom will get back to you in the order that your message appears on his phone.  Thank you so much, and keep your eyes pealed for new kitten photos!
10/12/20
*****Announcement about the waiting list!*****
We will be opening up the waiting list for new prospective cat owners on November 14 at 10:00.  I will accept only phone calls, so don’t text or email. And please wait till 10:00.
If you do not get a hold of me, please leave a message and I will return calls in the order in which they are received.  At that point, I will send you a short form that you can fill out and send back along with a $400 non refundable deposit to secure your place in line.
I will be taking reservations for black smokes, and a couple of polydactyl or white kittens, but the majority of my openings are for silver, brown, blue, tortie, calico, black and red kittens with normal feet.
10/1/20
All the kittens have new photos on their pages now!  They are doing well and are all adorable!  Calypso is taking care of her 4, plus 2 of Jenny’s since she gives more milk.  Both cats seem very happy with the arrangement and I don’t have to bottlefeed anymore!  7 was a lot for Jenny!
9/16/20
Fiesta moved into her new home yesterday and has a new big brother to play with and a household to rule and love.  Her new parents are the sweetest couple and will take good care of her.  Zephyr is still looking for her forever home.  She is very loving and gentle.
I will be taking pictures of Shadow and Aurora’s kittens today.  They came down with eye infections, but that has cleared up and they are ready for their first photo shoot.
Thank you to all of our prospective polydactyl owners for your patience.  We are hoping for a few polydactyl kittens from Calypso next week and are waiting for Violet and a new girl we got from Violet’s breeder in Russia a couple of weeks ago to be bred.  The new girl is a red classic polydactyl with a very mild, sweet personality.   We have named her Poppy.
9/9/20
We have put new photos of Clementine’s kittens on her page.  I hope to get photos of Shadow and Aurora’s kittens up in the next couple of days.  Between the two of them, there are 4 new babies.  It was the first litter for both of them, so we will try again in 6 months and hope for larger litters.  Shadow stole Aurora’s kittens and Aurora thought that was just fine with her, so they all belong to Shadow now and Aurora is as happy as can be out with the other momma cats.
Jenny and Calypso are getting rounder and looking pregnant.   Sophya has been bred, so we are eagerly watching her to see if she is pregnant.
We have placed Zephyr and Fiesta on our available adult cat page.  Zephyr has retired at 6 and Fiesta is just too small to breed.  We want to produce only the best and Fiesta, although super sweet, personable and loving, is just not going to help us produce large cats.
8/12/20
Willow had a c-section Tuesday afternoon.  Although the kitten had a very strong heartbeat, it was horribly malformed and passed away.  Willow has been spayed and is wandering the house, playing with Faith’s kittens and behaving like nothing ever happened.  While we are happy that Willow is doing so well, we are sad that she will never be a mommy!

8/10/20
Willow is due today.  She had her last progesterone supplement on Saturday night and we are waiting on her.  She is showing lots of nesting behavior and we are giving her till tomorrow to have her baby, otherwise, at the vet’s recommendation, we will have a c-section.
Clementine had 6 babies on August 8.  She has a red and white boy, a cameo boy with an almost white face, 3 dark tortie girls and one calico with white feet.  Tom will be contacting people soon for placement of Cappuccino’s babies.  We are keeping Arwen back for observation right now.  We might keep her as a future breeder.
Shadow and Aurora are pregnant and due at the end of the month.  Calypso and Jenny have been bred, but pregnancies have not been confirmed.
7/29/20
I finally got all 9 of Cappuccino’s kittens photographed and online!  They are the most cuddly bunch ever.  They just melt into my hands!
Clementine is due in a week and a half.  Shadow and Aurora are also pregnant and due on the 20th and 21st of August.
Willow is still holding onto her baby.  That’s right, she has one kitten!  Her progesterone dropped down to 9 while we were on vacation for a week in Oregon, but our amazing house sitter, Elisa,  got her started with progesterone supplements right away and her levels went back up and are now at 19.  She has less than 2 weeks to go in this pregnancy and we are cautiously optimistic that she will give us 1 healthy, strong kitten.  The doctor says the kitten has a wonderfully strong heartbeat!  We are so thankful and happy for this 1 kitten because it means we can try this again and produce more kittens from this incredibly beautiful girl!
Calypso and Jenny have been bred, but we don’t know if they are pregnant or not yet.
7/8/20
Faith had 4 kittens on June 18.  She had 4 beautiful babies and they are already waddling around a bit.  She has 2 blue, 1 brown, and 1 silver.
Cappuccino had 9 babies on June 23. She had 2 black, 5 smokes, and 2 silvers.  All are growing well and she is eating a ton to provide them all with plenty of milk!
Willow had an ultrasound on Monday and she is pregnant.  Her progesterone level was over 21, so all is well so far.  She goes in for another progesterone test next Monday and every Monday thereafter.   Clementine is definitely pregnant and due near the middle of August.  Shadow and Aurora have also been bred and if they are pregnant, will be due near the end of August.  We got a new 3 year old white Maine Coon girl with heterochromia.  One eye is blue and the other is yellow.  She is very nervous, but getting used to the bathroom and is already purring and kneading.  We hope to have kittens from her in less than 6 months.
Our son is picking up an 8 week old silver mackerel female from a friend who is a breeder in Norco.  Her name from the breeder is Gypsy.

We are waiting on Calypso, Misty, Jenny and Violet to be bred in the next month or so.
6/17/20
Simba has found a new home with a wonderful family living in Auburn.
Willow has been bred and we are trying our best to bring some kittens out of this pregnancy.  We started, at the suggestion of other breeders and our veterinarian, by giving her and Marshall antibiotics.  On day 21, we will be bringing her to the vet for an ultrasound and a progesterone level check.  Providing all is well, we will be checking her progesterone levels constantly throughout her pregnancy till we have either a live birth or a miscarriage.  If she miscarries again, she will be spayed and rehomed.  Of course, we are hoping for kittens, but are trying not to get our hopes up too high.  It is hard not to, though, because we would dearly love a litter from beautiful Willow.
Faith is ready to deliver any day now.  She keeps herself mainly in our bathroom where she loves curling up in the tub or between the toilet and wall!  We can’t wait to see her babies.
Cappuccino is also looking big and is enjoying having the run of the house.  She really comes alive whenever we go to the kitchen and open the fridge!  She LOVES her treats!  You would think she was starving, the way she almost plasters herself to the floor to get every morsel from the dish!

6/8/20
Simba is available and you can find more information about him on our available adult cat page.
Also, Clementine was bred this weekend, so we hope for kittens from her in 9 weeks!
6/5/20
We have updated the waiting list.  If we have made a mistake, please let us know!
Faith is due with her first litter in a little over a week and Cappuccino is due a week or so later.  We are waiting for Clementine, Shadow, Willow and Calypso to go into heat Aurora  appears to not have gotten pregnant with her first breeding, so we will wait for her to go into heat again as well.
5/24/20
A big thank you to all who called yesterday.  We had such a huge response, that we are closing our waiting list already.  We will be adding all the new names to the waiting list in the next week.  Congratulations to all of you new folks on the list!  Look for the list to reopen sometime late in fall.
5/18/20
Zephyr had 4 kittens and they are beautiful!  Jenny’s kittens are gearing up to go to their new homes this week.  They are very busy and playful!
5/8/20
Check out Jenny’s current litter page for new, updated pictures of her kittens!
Also, Zephyr is still holding onto her kittens.  She was due yesterday, but still….nothing!  And Cappuccino?  She ended up not getting pregnant, so we are trying again!
Remember, the waiting list opens at 10:00 a.m. on May 23.  Please call and leave a message!

4/13/20

****WAITING LIST UPDATE******

We will be opening up our waiting list for both males and females on Saturday, May 23 at 10:00 sharp.   I do want you to be aware that the lists for polydactyl and black smoke kittens will be very limited or closed entirely depending upon how many we get in the near future.
Please call only…. If you do not get a hold of me, please leave a message and I will return calls in the order in which they are received.  At that point, I will send you a short form that you can fill out and send back along with a $400 non refundable deposit to secure your place in line.
In other kitten news, we are expecting a litter with Zephyr and Cappuccino in May and Aurora and Faith in June.
3/17/20
Willow has had her second miscarriage.  We are working closely with our veterinarian and will be breeding her in a couple of months and monitoring her closely.  It is possible that we may never see a litter from Willow but we are giving it our best shot.  In the meantime, we are actively seeking other silver girls to add to our cattery.  We have the possibility of silver kittens coming in the near future with Zephyr, Cappuccino, Aurora, Faith and Shadow.
Jenny is due any day and Calypso’s kittens are turning 4 weeks old and cute as can be!
3/4/20
Our waiting list is closed till May or June.  Keep watching for new updates.
2/24/20
Our waiting list will close down entirely on February 29 for any new kittens.  It will open up again in May or June  and we will post the opening day 60 days before it actually occurs.
2/19/20
John and Patty Cruikshank brought little Juniper down from Oregon.  She is a very confident, brave brown classic girl.  We also got our new girl, Violet, from Russia and she is an amazingly friendly,  loving 4 x 4 polydactyl girl.  She acted like she was one of the family the moment she set foot in the house!  She is in quarantine right now waiting for the day that she is deemed clear of any infectious bugs.  We always do this with our new kitties to allow us time to send off PCR tests, deworm them and make sure they don’t introduce anything new to our existing cats that would be detrimental to their health.
Calypso gave birth to 5 beautiful kittens and Jenny is showing her pregnant tummy.  Willow is not showing yet, but it is still much too recent to tell.
1/29/2020
We are closing our waiting list for polydactyl or black smokes.  We are at our current maximum of 6 kittens on each list.
We got our new black smoke girl, Misty, from Russia on Sunday and she is still scared from her long voyage.  She will be warming up quickly though and is a gorgeous black color with striking white/silver undertones.
12/31/19
Happy New Year’s Eve!  In the next few months, we will be going through a quiet time with kittens after Jenny, Cappuccino and Clementine’s kittens go to their new homes.  During that time, we will be updating you with pictures of our adult cats and new future breeding cats.  We have 3 young kittens from our own stock as well as one from Russia and 1 from Oregon.  Also, at the end of January, we are receiving a new black smoke female from Russia and a brown female from European decent by way of Oregon.  2020 looks like it will be another fun and exciting year for our kittens and their families.
12/9/19
Our waiting list is officially closed for male kittens.  We do have a couple of spots available for females.
11/17/19
Thank you to all the people who called on Saturday to get on the waiting list for a kitten.  We are happy to welcome everyone into our family of Maine Coon lovers.  We will be leaving the waiting list open for a short time, so please call if you didn’t get a chance on Saturday.
Some of Calypso’s kittens have already gone home to be with their new families and the rest of her litter will be going this week, except for Fiesta who is staying with us.  I will be getting new photos of Jenny’s 4, Zephyr’s 2 and Mango’s 10 and will hopefully have them online Wednesday or Thursday.
Cappuccino is due any day and Clementine is due at the end of the month.   Then, we will have a break from kitten deliveries for a few months since we have no other pregnant mommies and no one ready to breed till January.
11/1/19
Zephyr has had her kittens; 2 brown boys.  Jenny had 4 boys today.  2 are blue and 2 are brown.  Sadly, Willow miscarried her litter.  She is on antibiotics and we will breed her again in a few months and monitor her progesterone level throughout the pregnancy.
Calypso’s kittens are almost ready to go to their new homes.  Clementine and Cappuccino are due in November.
Remember, the Waiting List opens up on Saturday, November 16 at 10.  Leave a message.

10/5/19
We have lots of kitten news!
Calypso kittens and Belle’s one boy were split up evenly between both moms.  They have been doing amazing jobs and those babies are about a pound and a half!
Mango gave us 10 kittens last Saturday, and we are happy to report that all 10 are still growing and doing well!  We’ve been doing round the clock supplementing, God has blessed, and they have all been thriving!  We gave Calypso all of her kittens again plus Belle’s boy so that we could split Mango’s 10 evenly between Belle and Mango.  Now, Each mom has 5 kittens except Calypso who has 6.
Sadly, our silver boy, Phoenix, did not get to come to us from Switzerland because he had a neurological reaction to his second Leukemia shot and had to be euthanized in Switzerland.  Beware:  Leukemia shots have a bad reputation and have been know to cause fatal reactions for adults and kittens alike.  If your cat is entirely inside, we recommend NEVER giving the Leukemia shot.  We are going to wait for another litter from the same breeder in Switzerland and she has agreed not to give the leukemia shot.
We have Zephyr and Jenny due by the end of October, and Clementine, Cappuccino, and Willow due at the end of November.  Lots of kittens coming!
9/7/19
We are going to be placing Lucy and Chamomile as spayed adults into new homes.   If you are interested in either cat, please give us a call or text.
We did an x-ray on Belle and she has a litter of 2 kittens.  This is becoming typical of Belle, but not of our other females.  Due to this fact, we are considering retiring her in the next year.  She is a gorgeous, loving cat and we hate to lose her as a breeder, but she’ll be happy as a spoiled pet!  Belle is due in about a week.
Calypso just had a litter of beautiful  kittens.  She had reds, browns and a tortie.  All but one are polydactyl and many have white feet.  Pictures will be posted soon.
Mango, our 4 x 4 polydactyl,  is starting to show a pregnant tummy.  She is due early October.  We are hoping for a nice large litter.
Our silver polydactyl boy from Switzerland, Phoenix, is due to arrive at the Sacramento airport at the end of September.  He is a beautiful mackerel and we are looking forward to seeing him.
Zephyr and Jennie have both been bred and should deliver near the end of October.
We will be breeding Willow to Caspian, Cappuccino to Marshall and Clementine to Caspian in the next month or so.
We still have a few spaces on our waiting list for females and hope to open the waiting list for males as well in December.
8/12/19
We are open to new reservations only for female kittens due to the fact that our cats gave us so many female kittens this spring.
We went up to Oregon last week to pick up a new little girl from some friends and fellow breeders, John and Patty Cruikshank.  She is a sweet, easy going little calico lady who is close to 4 months old and will give us kittens next summer, hopefully.   We are also getting a little silver polydactyl male from Switzerland in October.
Calypso and Marshall are due at the beginning of September.   Belle and Caspian are due mid September with what looks like a small litter. Mango and Caspian are due early October.
7/27/19
All of Anastasia’s kittens went to their new homes today except for Miss Jasmine who will be staying with us.  She is a beautiful, dark black smoke and one of the biggest kittens in her litter.
Chamomile did not get pregnant as hoped and had a false pregnancy, so we won’t be having any kittens from her for several more months.
However, Belle and Calypso are expecting and Mango has been bred to Caspian.    We are looking forward to their kittens and hope to get a black smoke poly.  Maybe?
7/8/19
All of Anastasia’s kittens have been picked for their new homes.
Chamomile and Caspian were bred and will hopefully produce a litter in the beginning of September.  Calypso and Marshall, and Belle and Caspian have been bred and are due mid September.  We are expecting many colors from these three litters!
6/18/19
The waiting list has been updated and we will be calling people in the next couple of weeks for Anastasia and Clementine’s kittens.
6/12/19
Thank you to all of you who became a part of Saturday’s reservation list for Gold Rush Maine Coons!   We filled over 15 spots in about 6 hours worth of phone conversations! There are still a few spots remaining, but I am expecting the list to close in the next week or two.   For those of you that for various reasons could not get on this list, the next reservation time should be at the end of 2019 or early 2020.  The timing depends on how many kittens we have this fall.   Those of you on the new list will see your  first name  appear,  once everything shakes out and we know exactly where the positioning should be.  Eight to nine of my current kittens will be chosen in the next few weeks and will go to their new homes in early July.  You will see the list move at that time.   Keep an eye on our website and Facebook as things develop!
6/8/19
Waiting list opens today at 10:00.  Please leave a message.  I know I’ll be on the phone most of the day to take care of everyone.  Your place will be held by the time the message appears on my phone.  It’s an exciting day!  530 391-0189.  Oops!  I had transposed two numbers!
5/18/19
WAITING LIST ANNOUNCEMENT
********
Beginning at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 8, I will be taking reservations for kittens from late summer into winter.  I will take approximately 20 new people.
Please call only…. If you do not get a hold of me, please leave a message and I will return calls in the order in which they are received.  At that point, I will send you a short form that you can fill out and send back along with a $400 non refundable deposit to secure your place in line.
Clementine, Anastasia and Chamomile are all pregnant.
4/28/19
All of our kittens are growing up and many will be ready to send to their homes very soon.  For those of you on the wait list, especially in the top half,  I will be contacting you this coming week to begin the choice process.  Zephyr, Mango, Belle and Jenny’s litter pictures are current and Lucy’s will be as soon as we are ready to take new pictures.  Lucy had a cold virus she caught and passed it on to some of her kittens so they are on hold for awhile until they are all fully over the cold and ready to go to their new homes.  They are all eating well however and doing fine.  Clementine is confirmed pregnant and is due at the very end of May.
4/2/19
Things are really beginning to happen and we have a house full of beautiful kittens.  Calypso’s kittens are getting ready to go home soon.  They are running around like crazy and are totally litter trained.    Lucy’s 6 kittens are starting to walk around and explore our laundry room.  They are very friendly and love people and neck scratches!  Zephyr had a beautiful litter of 5 boys on Monday, March 25th and Mango also gave birth to 6 very nice kittens on Friday, March 29th.  That gives us a total of 21 kittens right now.  Belle and Jenny are due in April and Anastasia was just recently bred to Marshall.  Needless to say, we are very busy and things are really starting to move along,  which happens every spring!  We will be updating pics towards the end of next week on all our kittens so you can have a fresh look!  A big thanks to all on the waiting list for your patience!
Just a reminder to those of you who have contacted me regarding getting on the waiting list.  I will be opening it again early June and will make an announcement under “news and updates” on our site three week prior to the list opening so you have time to prepare.  Thank you also for your patience.
3/17/19
Calypso’s kittens are getting bigger and follow us around meowing for attention.  They are getting litter box trained and are such cute little fuzzballs!
Lucy had 6 amazing kittens on the 9th and I will be contacting people on my list in about a month.  She had 4 girls and 2 boys in a variety of colors.
Zephyr has been brought into the house in preparation of her delivering her kittens later in the week.  She is, as usual, as big as a house!  Of course, she starts off a little plumper than other girls in our cat cottage!  We think she’ll have at least 4 kittens.
3/01/19   (A SPECIAL NOTE FOR THOSE OF YOU DESIRING TO BE ON THE WAITING LIST. . . . )
Thank you very much for your overwhelming interest.  Our waiting list is currently closed, but will reopen again at the beginning of June.  I will make an announcement on our website under the “news and updates” section three weeks prior to opening the list.  Please begin watching the website starting in May.  In the meantime, you can be watching under “current litters” to see what is currently happening at Gold Rush Maine Coons.  Sorry for the delay.  It does take a lot of patience to get a Maine Coons kitten but once you have one, you will understand why it was worth the wait!! I look forward to hearing from each of you in early June.
2/18/19
Spring has sprung and things are beginning to happen!  Calypso has four beautiful kittens born February 7th.  She has a red poly male, a brown w/ white poly male, a regular red male and a brown and white female.  Their eyes are now open so you should be seeing pictures early this week under current litters/Calypso.  Also, the following queens are bred:  Lucy, Belle, Mango, Zephyr and Jenny.  We are hoping to breed Anastasia soon.  Early April will be very busy with new kittens and the waiting list should be moving along!
We named our two new girls, Clementine and Chamomile.  They should both be ready to breed this spring.  Clementine is a red classic with white and Chamomile is a silver patch with white.  They are both  beautiful girls and quite talkative and friendly!   Their personalities are very sweet and they have quickly become part of our Maine Coon family!
1/7/19
Happy New Year!  We hope 2019 is a blessing to all!  We have 2 pregnant queens (hopefully).  Calypso should bring us some polydactyl babies in February and Lucy should give us a litter of colorful kittens in March.  We are also getting 2 new girls from Russia today who will be a year old in February and March and bring us kittens this spring as well.  Tom went to San Francisco to pick them up today and we will post some pictures as soon as we can.  One girl is a beautiful dark red classic with a white bib and feet.  The other is a blue classic with white bib and feet too.
11/27/18
Gracie is getting bigger and is Due after Christmas.  We are waiting till Mango goes into heat to breed her, but she is taking her sweet time!
10/16/18
We have been so busy that we haven’t updated since the birth of our last three litters!  On October 2, Anastasia had a beautiful litter of 3 boys and 2 girls.  Four days later, Zephyr had a litter of 2 boys and 2 girls and on October 8, Jenny had a litter of 2 boys and 2 girls!  We are so blessed!  See their individual pages for photos and descriptions of the kittens.
10/1/18
We have a new queen in our bedroom with a litter of 7 beautiful kittens.  Some are calico, some are red and white and some are black and white.  There are also a couple of polydactyls.  Mom’s name is Lucy and you can see a photo of the babies under “Current litters:  Lucy and Drake”.  She came from Russia and the father is still in Russia.  These kittens will be available first to those who have been on my waiting list more for than 6 months.  We will take new photos in a couple of days.
Zephyr and Jenny are either really fat, or pregnant!  Just kidding!  They are due in the middle of October.  We are watching Belle for signs of pregnancy.
9/8/18
***We have confirmed that Anastasia is pregnant!  So, those of you already on her list, be looking for updates near the beginning of October!  We are watching Zephyr, Jennie and Belle to confirm their pregnancies.  It’s still pretty early!

Beginning at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 15, I will be taking reservations for kittens from late fall to early spring..
Please call only…. It was too chaotic for me to try to figure out who contacted me first when comparing emails, texts and calls, so I’m simplifying it this time by going to calls only. At that point, I will send you a short form that you can fill out and send back along with a $300 deposit to secure your place in line.
Looking forward to hearing from all you prospective kitten owners.

Calypso had 6 kittens on June 20.  All are boys and all but one has white feet.  There are 4 polys in the bunch.  Pictures are on Facebook and will  be on our website soon.
Gracie had 3 girls via C-section on June 25.  They all have some form of red on them.

Thank you to everyone for their time and patience yesterday during the reservation process.  We had a lot of calls, especially in the first 5 minutes!  Most calls had to be returned.  We will keep you updated on pregnancies and births as we know more information.
There are still some openings for reservations for the following queens:  Anastasia, Belle, Jenny and Zephyr.  Calypso, Gracie and Mango are full unless we find out that we have extra kittens after they’re born!
6/5/18
Today is the day!  It’s reservation day starting promptly at 9:00 a.m.  We will let you know the end results later today or tomorrow!  Please leave a message and Tom will return calls in the order in which they are recorded.  Please be patient, we also have 5 guys here sawing through walls, installing a new A/C, so it’s kind of crazy around here today!
5/28/18
Reservations for our planned litters will be opening up on Tuesday, June 5 at 9:00 a.m.

Belle is having her kittens right now.  I don’t know  how many we will be blessed by yet!
4/29/18
Jenny had her first litter on Wednesday and gave us a little surprise!  She has 5 kittens and while 4 are brown classics, one is a blue!  Genetics can be so fun!
4/15/18
Zephyr had her babies.  She has a small, but beautiful litter of 3.
4/13/18
We have no kittens available at this point.  Please check back near the end of May when we will have updated or opened our fall/winter waiting lists.  Thank you.
